Once you apply for Poynt Processing, you can check the status of your account at any time by logging into Poynt HQ.
If you are using the new version of Poynt HQ:
Log into https://poynt.net/dashboard. The Application Status box on the top right hand side of the screen will show you the stages of your applicaition.
The status will be updated as the application goes through the various stages of approval.
- Application status: The risk team is reviewing the information submitted. The status will change from In Review to Approved or Denied based on their findings.
- Payments: This indicates if you can start accepting payments on either the Poynt device or using Virtual Terminal. Typically if your application has been approved and a terminal associated to your account, this will be updated to Enabled.
- Deposits: Once enabled, you will start receiving funds in your bank account or to your debit card. This process takes a few days once you start transacting. The Poynt team does a further review of the transactions and might and will switch the status to Enabled once the additional checks are done. The team will reach out to you if they have any further questions.
Below are some examples of the different status states.
Application was just recently submitted and is in review by the Poynt team.
Application has been approved and you can start accepting payments by using the Virtual Terminal while the terminal is being shipped out to you. However, those funds will not be deposited into your bank account just yet as additional checks need to be done on the backend.
Application has been approved and you can start accepting payments by using the Virtual Terminal while the terminal is being shipped out to you. As Deposits are enabled, you'll see funds transfer into your bank account or debit card daily.
Payments and Deposits are enabled, and you have received your terminal. You should be able to process payments and see those funds in your bank account or debit card daily.
If you are using the original version of Poynt HQ:

Shipped
Application has been approved and you can start accepting payments by using the Virtual Terminal. Final checks have been done and the terminal has been shipped out. Deposits are not enabled yet; once they are you will see funds show up in your account.
Approved
Payments and Deposits are enabled, and you have received your terminal. You should be able to process payments and see those funds in your bank account or debit card daily.
Declined
Risk team has conducted additional reviews and has decided to decline the application at this time.
