How do I connect my device via Ethernet?

Note: This only applies to the GoDaddy Poynt Smart Terminals that have an ethernet port. 

You will be prompted to Connect your device upon activating.  To connect via ethernet, simply plug your Ethernet cord into the back of the Poynt dock, place your terminal on the dock, and you're ready to go! The Poynt device must remain in its dock to process payments using Ethernet.

Wifi should be connected when ethernet is being used, so that when the device is picked up off the dock, WiFi can be used to process transactions.

Note:  Make sure the dock is plugged into a power source and terminal is docked when first connecting to Ethernet.

To configure additional networks after activation, you can do so by using the swipe-down menu to access settings, swipe across, and select WiFi, Ethernet, or 3G/4G.
