How do I process Partial Refunds?

You can process either a full or partial refund directly from the Transactions app on the Poynt device. 

Step 1: Go to your Home Screen and select "Transactions".

NOTE:  You can also navigate to the Transactions app within the Terminal app by selecting the left 3 bar menu in the top left corner and selecting "Transactions". 

Step 2: Select the transaction you'd like to view. This will open the transaction information.

Step 3: If the payment has been captured and settled, the word "Refund" will be displayed. Select Refund.

Step 4: Edit the amount to be returned, and hit Refund.

Note: You cannot perform a Partial Refund more than once. Second attempt will only allow you to do a full refund.  Transferring settled funds from your merchant account to the customer's account varies by merchant and bank, may take a few days (7-10 business days).
