Manual Entry is used for when the card is physically not present, or if it’s easier to enter in the card information manually. You can access Manual Entry via the Home Screen or through the Register app.
1. Manual Entry app from Home Screen: use when charging a dollar amount and are not concerned with tracking items purchased.
Enter in amount, credit card information, and click on CHARGE. Note that this does calculate and add taxes. If you need to include a tax, you will have to manually calculate the tax amount owed and include that in the total amount charged.
2. Manual Entry option on the Register app: Build your order as normal, and click on Charge.
Click on Manual Entry and enter in credit card information. Click on charge to continue the transaction.
The customer will then be prompted for tip and signature (which you can bypass if taking in the details via phone).
3. Manual Entry option from the Terminal app: Click on the Terminal app from the Home Screen. Enter in total amount and click on Charge.
Click on Manual Entry and enter in credit card information.
Enter in the credit card information and click charge. The customer will then be prompted for tip and signature (which you can bypass if taking in the details via phone).
