How does a merchant perform an auth-only transaction?

Please follow the directions below:

1. Go to the Terminal App on your Poynt Smart Terminal
   
   
2. Tap on left-side drop down menu
   
   
3. Tap on “Auth-Only'” option
4. Enter the amount and swipe card as you normally would
5. When an 'Auth-Only' transaction is ready to be captured/closed, you may do so by going to the Settlements App > Transactions > Auth-Only tab and mark the transaction as Closed
