Enable 2-step verification

Enable two-step verification (2SV or 2FA) to add additional security to your account.

1. Sign in to Poynt HQ.
2. On another tab, open your GoDaddy Login & PIN settings.
3. Under 2-step verification, select Add verification.
4. Select the 2SV method you'd like to use, then select Next:
   • Authenticator app: An authenticator app, like Google Authenticator or Authy, will create the code.
   • SMS text messages: The code will be sent to you as a text.
   • Security key: A USB or Bluetooth-enabled hardware security key will be used for authentication.
5. Complete the setup process according to the method you selected:
   • For Authenticator App, follow the instructions to install an app on your phone and scan the barcode. Enter the authentication code and the name of the app, then select Next.
   • For SMS text messages, enter your phone number, then select Next. Enter the 6-digit code we text you (it's good for the next 20 minutes), then select Next.
   • For Security Key (such as a Yubikey or Google Titan), follow the onscreen instructions to set up the security key.
6. Once we verify your 2SV method, you'll see a success message confirming your changes.
7. Go back to the Poynt HQ tab and sign out of it, then sign back in. When you sign in, you should be asked to complete 2SV using the method you set up.
