Lightning Register (by TouchSuite) is a light point of sale solution that offers merchants the following:
- Real-time integration to QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Two-click order processing
- Easy item management
- Multi-tax support

Launch Lightning Register app
- Tap the Lightning app icon to launch the app
- If this is the first time you’re launching the app, and you have an existing Poynt product catalog, it may take a minute or two for your products to be imported
Setting up your catalog
- If you have an existing Poynt product catalog assigned to the terminal, they will automatically populate
- To modify existing items, tap the Menu icon, then tap Manage Items
- To add a new item, tap the + icon at the bottom right of the screen
Making a sale using the item catalog
- Simply tap on items that you wish to add to the order
- To add multiple quantities of an item, tap the item multiple times
- As you add items, the customer facing screen will reflect the order in progress
- To finish the order tap CHARGE, which launches the card payment flow
Keypad for non-catalog item sale (manual entry)
- To add an order item that is not in your catalog, use Keypad
- You may also use Keypad for just keying in amount without any item information
- Your order can include a combination of catalog items and manual Keypad entries
Other settings: Sales tax
- Sales tax rates can be defined by tapping on the menu, and then tapping Sales Tax
- Taxes are enabled at the item level — tap on Manage Items to edit your product catalog
Connecting to QuickBooks
- Integrate Lightning Register with your QuickBooks account
- Tap the menu, then tap Connect to QuickBooks and follow the instructions
- You will be asked to login with your QuickBooks credentials to authorize Lightning Register to access your QuickBooks account (to sync your sales data)
