Messaging on Merchant HQ allows you to engage directly with your customers. This feature is now available for our Advanced and Premium merchants.
During a customer's transaction, they have the ability to select to receive the receipt via Email or Text (SMS). When they receive their receipt, they can respond to engage in conversation with the Merchant.
To reach out to you, the customer simply responds to their email or text message from the original email or text message. You may then respond to them with instructions or a quick note of thanks.
Note: This functionality can only be used in response to the customer's message. Text and email receipts will not appear here without that initial customer reaching out.
Once the customer responds, you'll get a message on Poynt.com/Messaging (above) and an email containing the message.
To respond, simply type your message in on the Poynt Messaging page. This will send the message back to the customer using the channel they requested for the receipt.
The merchant will receive the message and be able to respond.
